Gynaecology involves routine screenings and exams to monitor women’s reproductive health, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, and breast exams.
Gynaecologists also provide counseling on contraception methods, diagnose and treat menstrual disorders, assist women in menopause management, address sexual health concerns including sexual dysfunction, diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions for instance uterine fibroids, endometriosis among others, and provide reproductive health care, including evaluation and treatment for infertility, miscarriages, and preconception counseling for women planning to become pregnant.
